Heike Blakley
My name is Heike Blakley, and I am a visual artist based in Austin, Texas.
My practice spans a wide range of mediums and I would describe my work as having ultra- vivid colors and expressive line work.
Blending elements of Retro futurism, Surrealism and abstraction, my work is an exploration of the fluid space between imagination, reality, identity and emotion.
My mission and purpose as an artist is to dismantle reality, question society and to remind the world of its inherent imagination!
The work I create is a reflection of dreams, nightmares and how I interpret the world around me.
At the heart of my activity is a life- long pursuit self acceptance and creative mastery.
